A day of mindful silence can be a powerful and restorative experience, whether you are new to mindfulness or a seasoned practitioner. In that spirit, we would love you to join us for a day of mindfulness meditation practices.
Before the day begins, we will send you instructions for creating a sanctuary in your home. During the day, we will slowly guide you through practices that expand your ability to settle and soften. If you are new to mindfulness, you will be given options to ease in and out. If you already have an established meditation practice, this will be a deepening day.
Some of the practices you will be offered include:
Sitting Meditation
Gentle Mindful Yoga
Walking Meditation
Mindful Eating
The daylong silent retreat is included in our 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Mindful Self-Compassion courses and is open to anyone seeking a guided meditation retreat experience. The Retreat will be held in-person at Stillpoint Counseling.
Let family and friends know that you will be in silence and not available via phone or email.
Silent lunch is part of the retreat. Please bring food with you.
Create a refuge by turning off your phone and other technology during the retreat.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
We will have yoga mats, blankets, and cushions available.

After registering, you will receive an email a day or two before the retreat with information and suggestions for preparing for the day.
