About Our Free Online Mindfulness Classes

Supported by over 40 years of research, mindfulness has been shown to be an effective complementary treatment to many different areas of physical, mental and emotional health, as well as to promote an overall sense of well-being. Self-kindness, one of the three components of mindful self-compassion, is a way of seeing our inner critic and being as caring and encouraging towards ourselves as we would a good friend.

These classes are an excellent way to explore these topics and practices before committing to further learning. You'll gain a basic understanding of the main topic and try out techniques in a supportive environment with a trained, experienced instructor.

Attendees will receive:

  • Guided meditation audio files
  • A digital handout with practices
  • A special offer

About Grand Rapids Center for Mindfulness

Founded in 2011, GRCFM has led hundreds of participants through mindfulness programs in small group, workshop, corporate, and community settings. Our programs are based on the groundbreaking work of Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer of the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, and Lynn Rossy, creator of the Eat for Life program.
