Building Mindful Connection is a way to practice bringing mindful awareness into the most important, meaningful, and challenging places in your life. Learn to speak your truth with confidence and intentional vulnerability, and listen in a way that makes others feel valued and heard. Together we will develop skills to add depth and meaning to our interactions.
Learn to deepen the practice of mindfulness in all your interactions while you:
- Reduce social anxiety in any setting
- Improve all types of relationships and build communication skills
- Reduce stress and anxiety in relationships
- Learn new listening skills to hear oneself and others more deeply
*Prerequisite: 8-week GRCFM class or an established meditation practice
Learn Interpersonal Communication Meditation Practices
Classes are small and practice-focused. In these classes, we explore our less helpful tendencies in communication and develop skills to improve the quality of our conversations. During the course, you will practice several formal and informal personal and interpersonal mindfulness practices including:
- Sitting Meditations
- Guided Meditations
- Interpersonal Meditations
- Group Dialogue
- Mindful Movement

Carol is a co-founder of the Grand Rapids Center for Mindfulness and has been teaching mindfulness classes in West Michigan for years.

Attendance at a Free Information Session is STRONGLY recommended. The BMC class consists of eight weekly sessions and one All-Day Retreat after the sixth week of class. The retreat is an extended period of practice to integrate what you have learned in the course. Tuition includes lifetime access to meditation audio files, digital downloads, and the BMC Workbook through the MetaFi app.
