Learning to Speak and Listen from the Heart

Building Mindful Connection is a way to practice bringing mindful awareness into the most important, meaningful, and challenging places in your life. Learn to speak your truth with confidence and intentional vulnerability, and listen in a way that makes others feel valued and heard. Together we will develop skills to add depth and meaning to our interactions.

*Prerequisite: 8-week GRCFM class or an established meditation practice

Learn Interpersonal Communication Meditation Practices

Classes are small and practice-focused. In these classes, we explore our less helpful tendencies in communication and develop skills to improve the quality of our conversations. During the course, you will practice several formal and informal personal and interpersonal mindfulness practices including:

  • Sitting Meditations
  • Guided Meditations
  • Contemplations
  • Interpersonal Meditations
  • Group Dialogue
  • Mindful Movement

Class Details

  • Attendance at a Free Information Session is strongly recommended before beginning the class.
  • This class consists of eight weekly sessions and one All-Day Retreat after the sixth week of class. The retreat is an extended period of practice to integrate what you have learned in the course.
  • Tuition includes app-based access to meditation audio files, digital downloads, and the course handbook through MetaFi, plus all upgraded features of MetaFi.
  • Online classes meet on the Zoom video conferencing platform. Our instructors will help orient you to Zoom if you are unfamiliar.

Attending a Free Information Session is strongly encouraged before beginning this multi-week program so you have an opportunity to learn what you can expect from the course, ask any questions you might have, and determine if the course is right for you. Some of this material may not be repeated in class.

If you're unable to attend a free session, please plan to watch the recorded version or contact us to arrange a separate consultation.

Because we believe cost should not be a barrier to accessing mindfulness education, we offer payment plans on all offerings. We also have limited scholarships available for students unable to pay at the low end of the sliding scale. Contact our office for more information.
