Retreats for GRCFM Class Participants

Four times a year, the Grand Rapids Center for Mindfulness offers All-Day Silent Retreats as a part of all 8-week GRCFM classes. The retreats are held on the Saturday or Sunday following the sixth week of class. As a participant of the 8-week class, you are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to deepen and expand your practice. Please don’t miss it!

 

During the day, you will experience a wide range of mindfulness practices, including: Sitting meditation, mindful yoga, mindful walking, mindful eating, loving-kindness meditation, and visualization practices. The only thing that is required is that you come with an open mind and see for yourself what happens.

Previous Course Participants Welcome

All past participants of any 8-week GRCFM class are warmly invited to attend all upcoming All-Day Retreats. 

 

To benefit our scholarship initiatives, we ask that our program alumni donate what they can for the silent retreat to help us support access to our classes, workshops, and retreats for those in need. A contribution of $20 is suggested. For those facing financial difficulty, we request a minimum donation of $5.

Additional Opportunities

We encourage all who are looking to explore mindfulness, but have not taken an 8-week class, to consider one of our half-day workshops (Mindfulness for Beginners, Self-Compassion for Beginners, Mindful Eating for Beginners). Online Programming in Response to COVID-19

We want to make the benefits of mindfulness available to you while also keeping you safe. Based on the uncertainty of the future with regard to COVID-19, we're offering all programs and All-Day Retreats online only until further notice. We have been hosting our classes, workshops, and retreats online via the Zoom videoconferencing platform since March 2020. Please contact us with any questions about participating in these offerings virtually.
